Privacy policy.
This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit kramweg.ch or send us a request. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
This is a translation of the German Datenschutzerklärung. If the two differ, the German version applies.
1. Controller
kramweg.ch is responsible for processing data on this website and can be reached at hallo@kramweg.ch. We also answer questions about data protection at this address.
2. Visiting the website
When you visit kramweg.ch, our hosting provider Cloudflare processes technically necessary data so the website can be delivered and kept secure: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system, and the page you came from. We don't use this data to identify you. Log data is deleted automatically after a few days.
The website's typeface is hosted on our own server. No data is sent to Google or other font providers when you visit.
3. Cookies and Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and how many requests come in through the website. For this, Google sets cookies (_ga and _ga_…) and receives information about your visit: pages viewed, time, approximate location, device and browser, and the page you came from. Google Analytics 4 doesn't store IP addresses. We only use the data in aggregated form and not to identify you.
Google keeps the data for at most 14 months. You can prevent the collection by blocking cookies in your browser or by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on. We don't use any advertising services.
Cloudflare may set technically necessary cookies for security reasons, for example to fend off automated attacks.
4. Price requests
When you send us a request using the form, we process:
- the description of your items and their location,
- your postcode,
- your name and email address,
- your phone number, if you provide it,
- the date and time of your request.
We use this information to make you an offer, ask questions and organise the pickup. We receive your request by email. We also store your name, email address, postcode and phone number with the email service MailBluster (see section 6).
To prevent abuse, your IP address is used briefly when you submit the form to limit the number of requests per minute. We don't store it.
5. Newsletter
If you tick the box in the form saying you'd like tips and offers, we'll send you occasional emails. This is based on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to hallo@kramweg.ch.
We can see whether an email was opened and which links in it were clicked. This helps us improve our emails.
6. Service providers
These service providers process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): hosting, delivery and protection of the website, delivery of requests and forwarding of emails to our mailbox.
- MailBluster (mailbluster.com): storage of contact details, sending of emails.
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES): technical delivery of our emails.
- Our email provider: receiving and storing emails in our mailbox.
- Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (Ireland, USA): Google Analytics, visitor statistics.
They may only process the data for us and according to our instructions.
7. Disclosure abroad
Some of these providers also process data outside Switzerland, in particular in the USA. For companies certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the USA is considered to provide adequate data protection. Where this doesn't apply, we rely on standard contractual clauses recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
8. How long we keep data
We delete requests no later than 12 months after our last contact if they don't lead to an order. If you place an order, we keep the necessary records for as long as the law requires, usually 10 years for business records. We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe.
9. Your rights
You have the right to
- ask which data we process about you,
- have incorrect data corrected,
- have your data deleted,
- object to processing and withdraw your consent,
- receive your data in a common electronic format.
To do so, write to us at hallo@kramweg.ch. We may ask you to prove your identity. If you believe we're not processing your data correctly, you can complain to the FDPIC.
10. Security
The website is only accessible via an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only people who need your data to handle your request have access to it.
11. Changes
We update this privacy policy when our website or service providers change. The current version on this page applies.
